@ Orientix: you are so right...
Poorly folded garments, or garments squeezed in cartons that are too small, are a big problem. They might be very wrinkled, depending on the fabric. Sometimes they are totally unsellable (I remember some molded bra cups that were crushed and could not recover their original shape).
I agree with your suggestions. Importers should definitely study packaging before their suppliers take decisions by themselves.

Ahh, Export cartons / inner cartons that is one of these accessories where surely money will be saved. But not only the quality. In garments very often they make the cartons just a bit (Or very much) too small. Then after making beautiful products they get squeezed and pressed in just too small cartons. Imagine after weeks of transport all those buttons, zippers, belts a.s.o. nicely permanently pressed in the shell fabrics. Even steaming will not get it out anymore.
Anyway, take care that besides the quality, you also check the measurements of the cartons. Ask the factory to give you sample of carton which they intend to use, and check if your unit of products correctly fits in. Explain in your contract how you want the folding, and cartons should be adapted to that.
